A lot of your questions can be addressed during our free consultations. Everyone’s preferences and expectations are unique, making it difficult to provide a one-size-fits-all response. At Third Son Tattoo, we try to personalize the tattoo experience to the specific needs of each our clients. This approach ensures that Dave can offer the best advice and exceptional service to everyone who comes into the studio
Here are some commonly asked questions that may provide a useful starting point for our discussion:
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR MY TATTOO, BUT I CAN’T DRAW. DO YOU DRAW? DOES IT COST EXTRA?
Most of my clients arrive with only a description, an abstract concept, or a reference image of want they want tattooed. While I am more than willing to replicate existing artwork, my usual practice involves creating a custom design for each client. This ensures that your tattoo is entirely original and tailored to your specific tastes, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of art. I want to be clear that there is no additional fee for this service, as it is an essential part of my commitment to delivering personalized and awesome tattoos.
HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?
Pricing tattoos accurately without specific details can be difficult. Since each tattoo is custom-designed to suit the individual, providing a general pricing guideline would not only be misleading but also pretty damn confusing. During a consultation, I can offer you a quote based on your specific tattoo.
I follow two key pricing structures: one for single-session small tattoos, which are priced on a per-piece basis, and another for larger, multi-session projects, which are priced using an hourly rate. For larger, ongoing work, I can provide you with an estimate of the expected time needed for the tattoo within an hour, allowing you to have a good idea of the overall cost.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
Tattoos are by appointment only, and you can schedule appointments through email or by contacting me directly.
The first step involves an in-person consultation, which is the preferred option for my local clients. However, for the convenience of out-of-town clients, an email-based consultation is also available.
I operate from Thursday through Monday, and consultations are typically scheduled around 10-11 AM, although I can be flexible to accommodate varying needs. Tattooing sessions typically run from 11 AM to 5 PM, but for clients with specific scheduling requirements, I can begin as early as 9 AM.
WHERE IS THIRD SON TATTOO LOCATED?
Third Son Tattoo can be found at 557 Groves Ave, Kelowna British Columbia, in the heart of Pandosy Village just above the bike shop.
DO YOU TATTOO PEOPLE UNDER 18? I HAVE MY PARENTS CONSENT.
I hold the firm belief that getting a tattoo is a personal experience. It’s a permanent decision, and I need to have confidence in your ability to make this choice as a mature adult who knows what they want and how they want the tattoo to reflect themselves.
The issue that frequently arises is when a parent who consents still seeks to control parts of the tattoo such as size, placement, or the subject matter. My approach is focused around having meaningful discussions only with you, as an independent and mature adult. I firmly believe that you should wait until you reach the age of 18, as getting a tattoo should be your own choice. That way, you won’t regret it later.
DO YOU DO WALK-IN TATTOOS?
No. At Third Son Tattoo, tattoos are by appointment only. If you’re interested in getting a new tattoo contact us!
How much does a tattoo consultation cost?
Tattoo consultations are totally free! They’re a great opportunity to ask questions and speak with me directly regarding your ideas for your tattoo. If you have a consultation, come prepared with photo references, questions, and ideas!
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU DRAW?
The last thing anyone wants is a tattoo they don’t like. This is why I start with a free consultation. The consultation is a dedicated space to discuss your ideas and address any concerns in person. Once we’ve decided on a direction that works for you, I can turn your concepts into a fully developed tattoo design.
It’s pretty rare for clients to request modifications, as my aim is to not only meet but exceed your expectations. In the off chance that changes are needed, they are usually pretty minor and can often be made on the same day as your tattoo appointment. In the unlikely event of more extensive changes, we can reschedule and talk about your ideas more to make sure I’m understanding what it is you want. With over two decades of experience working with people to bring their tattoo ideas to life, I am confident that you’re going to love your tattoo.
I HAVE A TATTOO I WANT COVERED UP. CAN YOU MAKE IT DISAPPEAR?
Totally, cover-ups are a possibility. However, the success of a tattoo cover-up depends on a few factors, such as the density, size, and subject matter of the existing tattoo. With my extensive experience, I’ve undertaken cover-up projects ranging from small tattoos to full back pieces. The complexity of each case often requires a personalized approach.
In light of this, I highly recommend starting the process with a free consultation. This allows me to thoroughly assess your tattoo and provide you with a few options for what we can do with it. That way, you can make the best decision regarding how you’d like to cover your tattoo. The consultation is super important in guiding you toward the best option for your unique tattoo cover-up needs.
WHAT IF I’M SICK?
